ilzion respects the intellectual property rights of others, and we expect everyone who uses our platform to do the same. ilzion is a live, multiplayer quiz platform: hosts create quizzes and questions, players join quizzes by PIN, and users can upload images, audio, and video and write their own text. We do not pre-screen this user-generated content, but we will respond to clear, valid reports that material on ilzion infringes someone's copyright.
This policy explains how copyright owners (or their authorized agents) can ask us to remove infringing material, how we handle those requests, how an affected user can respond with a counter-notification, and what happens to accounts that repeatedly infringe. It is written in the spirit of the notice-and-takedown procedure described in the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and we apply a comparable process regardless of where you are located.
1. This is a notice-and-takedown process, not legal advice
This page describes a practical procedure for reporting and responding to copyright complaints. It is not legal advice, and nothing here is a substitute for consulting a lawyer. Submitting or responding to a copyright notice can carry legal consequences — including liability for misrepresentation — so if you are unsure whether material actually infringes your rights, or whether your use of someone else's work is permitted (for example under fair use or a license), please get your own legal advice before you act.
2. Reporting copyright infringement (takedown notice)
If you are a copyright owner, or you are authorized to act on a copyright owner's behalf, and you believe that content on ilzion infringes your copyright, you can send us a written takedown notice. To be valid and actionable, your notice must include all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If you are complaining about multiple works in a single notice, include a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the infringing material. A description of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it — ideally the direct URL or page link on ilzion, the quiz PIN or quiz title, the question or screen where it appears, and (for uploaded media) a description of the image, audio, or video in question.
- Your contact information. Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so we can reach you and, where appropriate, pass your notice to the affected user.
- A good-faith statement. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the way you describe is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- An accuracy and authority statement. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the right that is allegedly infringed.
- Your signature. Your physical or electronic signature. Typing your full legal name at the end of an emailed notice counts as an electronic signature.
Where to send your notice
Send your takedown notice to our designated copyright contact at dmca@ilzion.com. Please put "Copyright / DMCA Notice" in the subject line so we can route it quickly. Sending your complaint to a general support address may delay our response.
Please file accurately. Under the DMCA and similar laws, a person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages. Do not use this process to silence criticism, competition, or content you simply dislike but do not own.
3. What we do when we receive a valid notice
When we receive a notice that contains all of the required elements above, we will:
- Review it. Confirm the notice is complete and appears valid. If anything required is missing, we may contact you to ask for it before we can act.
- Remove or disable access. Where the notice is valid, we will remove or disable access to the material identified as infringing — for example by taking down a quiz, a question, or an uploaded file, or by preventing it from being used in quizzes.
- Notify the user. We will make a reasonable effort to notify the account holder who posted or uploaded the material that it has been removed or disabled because of a copyright complaint, and we will let them know how to submit a counter-notification if they believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification. We may forward a copy of your notice (including your contact details) to that user so they can understand the claim and respond.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to take additional action where content is clearly infringing or where the same material keeps reappearing.
4. Counter-notification (if your content was removed by mistake)
If you are an account holder and your material was removed or disabled because of a copyright notice, and you believe in good faith that this happened as a result of a mistake or a misidentification — for example, because you own the content, you are licensed to use it, or your use is otherwise permitted by law — you can send us a counter-notification.
Send it to dmca@ilzion.comwith "DMCA Counter-Notification" in the subject line. To be valid, your counter-notification must include all of the following:
- Identification of the removed material. A description of the material that was removed or disabled and the location (URL, quiz title, quiz PIN, or question) where it appeared before it was taken down.
- A good-faith statement under penalty of perjury. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or a misidentification of the material.
- Your contact information. Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Consent to jurisdiction. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court for the address you provide (or, if your address is outside the relevant country, a court in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.
- Your signature. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name counts).
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may forward it to the original complainant. In line with the standard notice-and-takedown procedure, the complainant may then have a window of time (typically around 10 to 14 business days) to seek a court order. If they do not notify us within that window that they have filed an action seeking to restrain the activity, we may restore the removed material at our discretion. As with takedown notices, knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a counter-notification may expose you to liability.
5. Repeat-infringer policy
We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. If a host or creator repeatedly uploads or posts material that is the subject of valid copyright notices, we may suspend or permanently terminate their ilzion account, remove their quizzes, and refuse them further use of the service. We may also act on a single instance of clear or egregious infringement. These measures are in addition to any action available to us under our Terms of Service and our Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Other intellectual property
If your concern is about a trademark, a right of publicity, or another intellectual-property right rather than copyright, you can still write to us at legal@ilzion.com. Please describe the right you hold, the material you are concerned about, and where it appears on ilzion, and we will review it.
7. Questions and related policies

For other legal matters, write to legal@ilzion.com, and for general help you can reach us through our Contact page or Support page.
