Disclaimer

What ilzion does and does not promise about the service and the content on it.

This Disclaimer explains the limits of what ilzion ("ilzion", "we", "us", or "our") can promise about our live multiplayer quiz platform at www.ilzion.com (the "Service"). Please read it alongside our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept everything described below.

1. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available"

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and all of its content, features, and functionality are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that it will be compatible with any particular device, browser, or streaming setup, or that any errors or defects in the Service will be corrected. Any reliance you place on the Service is at your own risk.

2. No guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free service

ilzion is operated by an individual and is self-hosted on a single dedicated server. We aim to keep the Service running reliably and to fix problems promptly, but we cannot and do not guarantee that:

  • the Service will be available, uninterrupted, timely, or error-free at all times;
  • live quizzes, PINs, scoring, timers, or realtime connections will always work perfectly, on every network or device;
  • the Service will be free of bugs, defects, viruses, or other harmful components, despite the reasonable measures we take; or
  • any data, settings, quizzes, or quiz results will never be lost, delayed, or affected by maintenance, outages, or backup rotation.

We may suspend, withdraw, or restrict all or part of the Service for maintenance, updates, security, or other operational reasons, and we will try to give notice where it is reasonable to do so.

3. No guarantee of specific results

The Service is a tool for creating and playing quiz quizzes. We make no promise about the outcomes you will achieve from using it — for example, the level of audience engagement, the number of players who join, learning results, scores, rankings, or any commercial or educational benefit. Your results depend on factors outside our control, including the content you create and how your players participate.

4. User-generated content is the responsibility of its creators

A large part of what you see on ilzion — quiz titles, descriptions, questions, answers, explanations, uploaded images, audio, and video, display names, and player nicknames — is created by users, not by ilzion. This content reflects the views and choices of the people who created it and does not reflect the views, opinions, endorsements, or positions of ilzion.

We do not pre-screen or independently verify user-generated content before it appears. While we set rules in our Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines and may remove content that breaches them, we are not responsible for content created by users, and we make no representation that such content is accurate, lawful, inoffensive, or reliable. If you believe content infringes your rights, see our Copyright / DMCA page, and to report abuse or harmful content, please contact support@ilzion.com.

5. Hosting intermediary and safe-harbor posture

ilzion is a hosting service for user-generated content: hosts and players create quizzes, questions, answers, explanations, uploaded media, display names, and nicknames, and we store and display that material so it can be shown in quizzes. We do not pre-screen all content before it appears, and we do not actively monitor the content that users create or upload.

When we receive a valid notice, we respond under our notice-and-takedown process — for copyright matters, see our Copyright / DMCA page; for other abuse or harmful content, please contact support@ilzion.com. We also operate a repeat-infringer policy and may, in appropriate cases, disable or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe the rights of others.

By acting as a hosting intermediary in this way — storing content at users’ direction, not pre-screening or actively monitoring it, and acting on valid notices — we aim to operate as a hosting intermediary in the spirit of common notice-and-takedown frameworks. This describes how we aim to operate and is not a representation of legal compliance, safe-harbour eligibility, or certification.

6. Quiz content is not professional advice

Quizzes on ilzion are made for play, learning, and entertainment. We do not guarantee that any quiz, question, answer, or explanation is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose. Quiz content is not a substitute for professional judgement and must not be relied upon as professional, educational, academic, medical, legal, financial, or other expert advice.

If you need advice for a specific situation, consult a qualified professional. Any action you take based on content found on the Service is strictly at your own risk.

7. Third-party links and platforms

The Service may contain links to, or connect with, third-party websites, services, and platforms that we do not own or control. This includes optional connections to streaming platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, and Kick for streamer features, as well as any other external links a user may include in their content.

We provide these links and integrations for convenience only. We do not endorse, and we are not responsible for, the content, accuracy, policies, availability, or practices of any third-party site or platform. Your use of a third party is governed by that third party's own terms and privacy policies, and any dealings you have with them are solely between you and that third party. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle the limited data involved in those optional connections.

8. Security and availability limitations

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Service and the data on it, and you can read more about our approach on our Security page. However, no online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure or available, and we do not promise that the Service is impenetrable, breach-proof, or free from every vulnerability. Transmission of information over the internet always carries some risk, and you provide and access content at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in this Disclaimer is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Subject to that, your use of the Service is at your own risk, and our liability to you is governed by the Limitation of Liability and related sections of our Terms of Service, which form part of the agreement between you and ilzion and should be read together with this page.

10. Governing law

This Disclaimer, and any dispute arising out of or relating to it or the Service, is governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and is otherwise subject to the governing-law and dispute provisions of our Terms of Service.

11. Changes to this Disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or for legal and operational reasons. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Disclaimer.
