Players join in seconds with a nickname — no account required — answer questions on their own device, and watch the live leaderboard update after every round. Self-hosted and privacy-respecting
ilzion runs on its own private server infrastructure. The database, authentication, storage, realtime engine, and cache all live on ilzion's own dedicated server rather than a third-party managed cloud. Your data stays on ilzion's infrastructure, which means very few outside parties ever touch it.
No third-party tracking
There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no ad networks, and no behavioral or cross-site tracking on ilzion. Cookies and local storage are strictly functional — they keep you signed in, remember your theme, and hold your current play session together. We don't profile you, and we don't sell your data. Server-authoritative fair play
Quiz logic — timing, scoring, and answer validation — is decided on the server, not in the player's browser. That makes quizzes consistent and harder to cheat, so the leaderboard reflects who actually played best.
